Lonicera japonica ‘Halliana’
Habit: Dense twiner, 3-5 m tall, many shoots, fast-growing, 60-80 cm a year.
Flowers: Plentiful for months, individual flowers like tubes, white, light yellow when wilting, June to beginning of September, very intense, sweet fragrance, especially at dusk.
Fruits: Ovoid, black berries, unpalatable.
Leaves: Usually semi-evergreen, rarely evergreen, ovoid, pale dark green, pale yellowish in autumn.
Roots: Shallow, with runners.
Demands: Shade to light shade; also full sun in mild climates, likes warmth, usually frost hardy, tolerates wind.
Soil: Fresh to moist, moderately acidic to slightly alkaline, on all garden soil.
