Jasminum nudiflorum – Winter Jasmine (eastern Asia)
Habit: Climber/trellis plant, 2-3 m tall, 2 m wide; thin, green, grey, whip-like shoots; medium-fast-growing, 40-80 cm.
Flowers: Bright yellow, (December) February to March, depending on the weather.
Leaves: In threes, small, dark green.
Demands: Sun to semi-shade, but only plentiful in full sun; tolerates heat, moderately frost hardy; good for urban areas, tolerates wind.
Soil: Dry to fresh; slightly acidic to very alkaline; all somewhat nutritious, well drained substrates; not growing on heavy soil and sensitive to frost.
Note: Also draping, then 2-5 m long 2-3 m wide; tolerates hedge cutting.
