Habit: Dwarf shrub, 0.3-0.6 m tall and up to 1 m wide; dense, upright and asymmetrically funnel-shaped, slow-growing.
Flowers: Tiny, in white inflorescences like panicles, July to August.
Leaves: Evergreen, scaly like a conifer; unusual light brown or yellow-green to golden.
Demands: Sun to shade; likes warmth or cool areas, moderately frost hardy, benefits from protection and covering with brushwood.
Soil: Fresh to moist; acidic to neutral, good in all well drained, humic, sandy-loamy soil.
