Exochorda macrantha ‘The Bride’ – Rosaceae
Habit: Small shrub, 1-1.8 m tall and wide; densely upright to arching.
Flowers: Plentiful, white, nodding flower racemes, individual flowers up to 4 cm; May to June, slightly pungent fragrance.
Leaves: Reverse ovoid, light green; no autumn colours.
Demands: Sun to shade, no flowers in the shade; flowers need wind protection.
Soil: Fresh to moist, slightly acidic to slightly alkaline, any garden soil.
Our tip: Flowers on last year’s shoots. Thus, only thin out after flowering.
